The DiaspAfra Build2Impact Challenge is an innovation (FUND WIN) competition designed to help students, researchers, developers, entrepreneurs, and innovators transform ideas into real-world impact. What we want: Participants will build innovative digital or research-based solutions (That Make Learning Easy For Knowledge Seekers) while receiving mentorship toward publication, patent development, startup commercialization, and global visibility.
The DiaspAfra Build2Impact Challenge 2026 is an intensive innovation programme designed to empower the next generation of African and Diaspora innovators. Participants are invited to develop innovative digital products, AI solutions, software applications, research tools, health technologies, educational technologies, sustainability solutions, and other impactful innovations that solve real-world challenges. Unlike traditional hackathons, this programme goes beyond building prototypes. Selected participants will receive Grant worth 500$ continued mentorship to transform their innovations into publishable research papers, conference papers, journal publications, patent applications, startups, and investment-ready ventures. Throughout the challenge, participants will gain access to expert mentorship, technical guidance, product feedback, and opportunities to showcase their work before industry professionals and the global DiaspAfra community. Three outstanding innovations will be selected during the programme and will receive special recognition, technical support, and development resources. The challenge is open to university students, researchers, software developers, engineers, innovators, startups, entrepreneurs, designers, and multidisciplinary teams from around the world.
