Credentials
Verification stops being the excuse
A nurse trained in Lagos and working in Manchester frequently repeats years of training. That is a recognition problem, and recognition is political — but underneath it sits a technical layer that makes the politics harder than it needs to be.
When a qualification exists only as paper and a registry that answers the phone in one time zone, verification is expensive enough that institutions default to re-testing. Making verification instant does not finish the work of recognition. Nothing finishes without it.
